Overview
A mobile feature concept designed during my UX/UI training at Ironhack, exploring how PlayStation players could find and connect with others who play the same games they do.
The Challenge
Players often have no easy way to tell who else, among friends or in the wider community, plays the same games they do, which makes it harder to find people worth actually playing with, especially for games that reward playing together.
The Approach
I designed a mobile feature concept covering discovery, matching, and community screens, grounded in research into how players currently find people to play with. The concept centers on surfacing shared games as the starting point for connecting with other players, rather than requiring people to already know who to look for: a Home screen surfaces friends currently playing, a Game Library organizes owned titles by played and purchased status, and a dedicated Communities tab lists each game with its member count, active party count, and language, so players can find a community that actually fits them. Drilling into a specific game surfaces its open parties with how many spots are already filled, so someone can join a group in progress instead of starting from zero.
The Outcome
The concept was recognized for its execution during the bootcamp's final review.
